Join us for a Congaree National Park staff appreciation event!

Wednesday, October 29

5:30-7:30 PM

Hunter-Gatherer Brewery (1402 Jim Hamilton Blvd)

Come participate in a Congaree community potluck to share our support and gratitude for the dedicated staff of Congaree National Park. Their work is essential to preserving the cultural and natural resources of our park, and this is a chance for us to come together and say thank you, whether or not the government shutdown is still in effect.

To ensure we have a variety of food, we are asking attendees to bring a dish based on the first letter of their last name, and enough of each for 6-8 people.

Last Name

Bring
A-FFavorite Appetizer
G-MFavorite Main Dish
N-SFavorite Side Dish
T-ZFavorite Dessert

We look forward to seeing you there for an evening of support, affirmation and good food!
*All beverages – non-alcoholic and alcoholic – will be ordered separately from Hunter-Gatherer.

Welcome to the Friends of Congaree Swamp website

I hope you will often be in touch with us here, on our Facebook page, through our newsletter and in the Swamp itself. We are fortunate to be stewards of not only a wonderful local resource, but one ofof the nation’s newest National Parks, an International Biosphere Reserve, a Globally Important Bird Area, and a Wetlands of International Importance.

To ensure that the integrity and vitality of this magnificent site remain for ourselves and future generations, we invite you to be an active participant in the Friends of Congaree Swamp group. It was through grass-roots citizen involvement that Congaree became a protected public resource; it is through collective involvement NOW that this special place will remain the treasure that it is.

Thank you for your interest. And thank you on behalf of Congaree Swamp and all its denizens.

John M. Grego
President
