Robin Carter, 06/13/2006
On 13 June 2006 I was hiking along the Weston Lake Loop Trail when I came upon a family group of Barred Owls. An adult was attempting to teach two youngsters to hunt, but all the young birds would do was to fly along, perch, and give a begging call (Listen 138KB mp3). This is behavior that we humans can easily identify with!
