2010 Summer Internships at Congaree National Park

Dr. David Shelley, the Education Coordinator, distributed the following Information on 2010 summer internship opportunities at Congaree National Park. Internships include a stipend, related training, and free on-site housing. They are a great way to spend a summer living and working in a National Park while building professional experience, resumes, and networks.

  1. Geology (Fluvial Geomorphologist) Intern - This position, which is offered in partnership with the Geological Society of America's GeoCorps program, will involve field-intensive research focused on describing, sampling, and radiocarbon dating of river deposits along the park's boundary.
